Cocker Spaniel Pastel Portrait in Progress

So, I’ve continued working on the cocker spaniel pastel portrait today and nearly completed the entire background. Now I have to invent both all reflection colors in the coat and the overall light of the dog.

She was photographed inside and so there are no colors from any outside environment in the reference photo. This will require allot of work, however it will be fun! I like challenges and this a good one.

I took a few photos while painting the background, there are three photos available to view in this blog post. This is probably the last work in progress image, next time I upload any news about this portrait.. it will be the final scan.

So, this lovely Cocker Spaniel will be completed next week :).
