New Watercolour painting along with one in Oils

Friday, October 27th, 2006
So here they are the two cats together. It’s a beautiful Watercolour painting. The cat’s names are Tara and Tenzin, commissioned by Agi Kiss. This was one of the hardest portraits to paint ever! I got many nice emails about this painting, people telling how much they love it.
Oil Painting of Border Terrier Grynna, standing at Swedish coast. Its on Gotland, I have never been there but it sure looks nice. Sweden

is a beautiful country and there are many nice places to visit. Here it is:

Now back to work…

Working and working…

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

Some time ago I painted a big watercolour painting with three dogs: two Airedale terriers and Schnauzer, their names are Jenny, Nisse and Ben. I just love the outcome of this portrait and their owner just loved it! Well, she was the first client who lived so near that she could come and get the painting at my home.

I do have two more commissions coming up with watercolours, one painting with two beautiful cats and one with four dogs! I just love painting with watercolours, somehow I’m very calm when painting these. Watercolours are very much loved by Swedish people.  I also painted a new Oil Painting for Laura in Estonia with three dogs: Dachshund, Labrador and German shepherd. Their names are Previ, Largo and Bradny. I of course love this painting and it was really hardly awaited by Laura and finally finished!
The coloured Pencil Drawing with head study of the horse was finished yesterday. This drawing wasn’t commissioned work; I drew it for my online gallery. I do not have that many good coloured pencil drawings to show, so I will have to draw more of them at a later stage.

Many new commissions are coming up, one of them are a female mix named Tequila. The portrait will be in Oils and I will start with that painting very soon. The owner Katja has the same name as me; it’s really fun because my name is rare here in Sweden.I also do have to finish the Border terrier standing at Swedish coast this week. I also have two huge projects coming up so I have only a few places left for Christmas commissions! I’m starting to take commissions for January with my new prices.
It’s really fun, so much work already! Somehow I don’t understand how people find me since my page is not in google yet. My domain is a little more then 1 year old and I’m on my way getting pr4! Well, that is just the beginning…

Until next time…

Jack Russel Terrier done

Sunday, October 1st, 2006

I have been painting the Jack Russel terrier Scout for a day and I just love it! The photo I got from my customer wasn’t all that good but I made a really nice mock-up along with an even better watercolour portrait. Soon I will offer bigger sizes of watercolour portraits; one commission of a big one is coming up so stay tuned! I totally forgot just how fun it is to paint with watercolours, but since I started with it, I realised that something was missing in my life :) .

I have been creating my new pricelist for 2007, which took some time. It’s very hard to count the hours that it takes to create a painting or drawing and include the high quality with it. I also attend to have too small prices, but I have been working on that with my own mind. To price your own work is the hardest part!

So here is Scout who will be on his way to his destination from tomorrow…
Best Regards…until next time

New Oil Portrait and Style of website!

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

Well, yesterday evening I decided to change some thinks on my web site. The most important issue was usability and colours. Fist of all I was tired of my website and it needed a change, the other thing was that I actually decided to change my colour theme for it. I like warm colours for my pet portraits because it looks a bit homier and a warmer place to visit. At the end I’m painting and drawing other people’s pets and cold colours doesn’t fit! So today I uploaded the new look! I also made the website even more easy to use and better for spiders and browsers. Some links can only be found on my first page, the extra ones of course :)

I also painted a new Oil Painting of a Tibetan terrier named Spencer for Agi Kiss in USA

Now I have to paint Scout in watercolours, so until next time…bye

Working and going to a Course

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

Well, past month I have been going to a short course about “How to open and run a company”. This course has been absolutely perfect! Getting to know all the nice people and teachers has been a very nice experience for me. Two of the consults has been really special to me though. Giving me so much to learn and think about, both in life and for my “one man company”. Ulla-Lisa Thorden and Peter Ploman are that kind of people who makes you think and get allot of inspiration and ideas. I’m extremely grateful for getting to know them. I learned allot on this course and will never forget these wonderful people! Sooo much inspiration!!! The timetable has been tight though, having so many commissions and the course at the same time. But now I’m back to work and I won’t have any free time at all until February.

Yesterday I got a really sad email from Debbie Miller, owner of my Oil Painting of German Shepherd Ossie. He sadly left the earth end went to heaven. I’m sure he is watching Debbie still…I’m truly sorry about your loss Debbie.
I created a Pencil Portrait of the cat Gordon. It was sure a challenge to draw this sweet cat but turned out really nice at the end.

See you all…I’m back to work, until next time

Two new websites created…

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Hi all of you out there. I still haven’t got the time to start painting, but I made two new web sites! One of them is very simple and fast loading, the other one is more graphical and “beautiful”.

InProgress is a Sales Company from Gothenburg…
Lidoks is a Rough Collie kennel in Slovenia…

I will be back!

Certificate of Originality

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

Hi all of you out there!

Now after a year of Painting, creating websites and a lot of other things I decided to create a Certificate of Originality signed by me for customers of my Artwork. This certificate will be a great value for any of my customers and will be held as a valued document. All “new” customers will receive this certificate along with their original artwork. Customers that already own my artwork will have to contact me if they would like me to send a Certificate.

I will also update my price page for better usability! You will from one time today be able to convert currency of the prices for your Portrait right on place, isn’t it great?
I still haven’t started to paint new portraits from the holiday time because of two websites I have to create and updates on my own website. But soon there will be new work in progress updates, so check back soon…Now back to work..
bye

Back from holiday times!

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I had a longer holiday then it was supposed to be. It was a relaxing one, 2000km from my home. Of course my dogs were along with me like always. My older dog Raider is used to travel a lot so he was calm on the way, but Blueberry was whining in the beginning. We didn’t understand why because he is usually more calm then Raider. But finally 300km from home I realised we forgot his box that he uses to sleep in. That’s why he was whining for 300km. Even if we go to a dog show or competition we always take the box. hm… I thought I could buy another box when we arrived to our destination but no luck at all. So he had to make it without a box for that month. First thing he did when we got back home was go to our bedroom to check if the box was still there. He is a too smart dog sometimes, makes life living hell :) Well, we lived with goats and sheep, Raider loved them from the very beginning, but Blueberry saw them as pray. In a week he got used to them and didn’t even care about them any more. We called one of the goats “Jovanka”, LOL it’s a funny name! She was the big boss around all others.
I took some time to train my dogs as I usually lack time at home. It was a “real life” for Blueberry and even Raider loved it. We went to see IPO training at a club, LOL no “real dogs” to see. Working Malinois people knows what that means… I even think it’s a boring and stereotyped sport.
I took my time to create a Coloured Pencil Drawing and this is the outcome:

Now back to work…Hugh…

Finally Holiday!

Friday, July 14th, 2006

After one year of working with my Pet Portraits I will finally take my time for a vacation around Europe for a few weeks. I finished the last three Oil Portraits and they are ready to leave my home. Today I will pack two and send them tomorrow. It has been fun to create this much portraits for one year and I’m happy that my Portraits got this popular in just one year. I learned allot too, let’s say the new portraits can’t be compared to my latest ones :) I’m truly happy with my self.  My family and friends has been so supportive of my new goals but also the biggest critics of all. Thank you!Today I changed my first page to a nicer place; I feel it looks more open in a way. We also photographed one of my dogs next to the paintings I have at home for the moment with some older ones too. Even I’m on one of them…Sweden)

See ya all!
When I come home I have some web sites do again, it will be allot of fun creating them! Let’s see what commissions will come up for my Pet Portraits, some are also on the way.

Now take a look at my latest work:
