Sunday, July 18th, 2010

This is the final scan of the Polar Bear oil painting. I used different lights and colors then the actual reference photo had, since I wanted to achieve a whole from the Polar Bears natural environment. Now its finally time for Gothia Cup and Holidays!!! Looking forward to it :)

Big Cat Painting of Leopard, Wildlife Art Prints - Final scan

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

So  oil painting of leopard is completed and I scanned the big cat earlier today. The oil painting was commissioned by Orsa Grönklitt, Sweden and will be printed on their products. I will also use this one for open edition Giclées, Wildlife Art Prints in near future as I really love this painting. The painting is relatively small, 38 x 46cm for a full body with backgrounds, but it turned out good anyway.

The first Fine Art Giclée Print arrived

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Today the first Giclée Print arrived and I opened the package with excitement. Its just perfect, I think its even better then the original. The Fine Art Print is of the Norwegian Elkhound I drew some time ago. The print has a watermark, is numbered and is signed by myself. Even though this is an Open edition Print its numbered and has a Certificate of Authenticity from both the company who created the Print and one from me.

The Company creates the Prints with the Digigraphie printer from Epson, so the Prints are in highest quality possible.

German Shepherd Pet portraits - painting in oils on linen canvas

Friday, December 11th, 2009

This is Candie, the German Shepherd living in Brazil. I have been painting this portrait every now and then in between my other commissions. Sometimes I had a feeling that this painting took too many hours to complete but that wasn’t true. It just took too long before it got back to my easel each time. Well, now its finished and I’m happy with it. Let’s hope the owner will be happy with it too.

This portrait is not a regular commission, me and the dogs owner will also use this for Giclee Fine Art Prints on canvas and on high quality paper. It will be an open edition print and will probably also appear on various products in the future.

Pet Portraits in pencil, Norwegian elkhound Taisho

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

For some time I have been drawing Taisho and the portrait is finally finished. Taisho is a Norwegian elkhound (Jämthund) and he is a beautiful dog. This drawing took ca. 60 hours to complete and it was very intense hours. The drawing is in size A4, so it’s not a big drawing. I drew some areas darker then on the photograph since both me and the client wanted to adjust the very light area between the head and neck on the left side. I also had to study the fur allot while I was drawing since this dog doesn’t have entirely straight growing fur which would make my work easier. At the end I was drawing the furs from my mind because it would take allot more hours to complete the drawing if I would actually draw the fur exactly from the photograph. That is almost impossible with short haired dogs I think. I only had in mind where the fur is lighter, darker, and longer and on which direction it is growing.

So here is Taisho…
