Polar Bear oil painting - Final scan

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

This is the final scan of the Polar Bear oil painting. I used different lights and colors then the actual reference photo had, since I wanted to achieve a whole from the Polar Bears natural environment. Now its finally time for Gothia Cup and Holidays!!! Looking forward to it :)

Pencil Portraits of Marina and Johan

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

This is a pencil portrait I created recently for my sister who wanted to have her self and her boyfriend drawn  and give away as a gift to Johan. Its a one year anniversary gift and the drawing is in size 29 x 42cm.

For two days now I have been working on the King Charles Spaniel painting, but it’s slowly progressing. I will continue to work on the painting tomorrow, but next step won’t be seen before next week.

Framed oil portraits

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

I collected the framed oil portrait of Alexandra today and took some photographs for the client to view. The client chose a wide ornate frame for Alexandra’s portrait and it suits perfectly. The color around the leaves is matte, that’s why it looks strange in the photos. So here she is:

Family Portraits, Portrait Painting of Girl - final scan

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

I completed the girl portrait in oil. Her name is Alexandra and this a portrait painting of her. The reference photo was small and taken a long time ago, so there is not much detail in the painting because of that, the portrait still turned out nice though. I will send an email about the completed portrait to the client soon so lets hope she likes it.

Framed Portrait Paintings

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Today I went to collect the Framed Portrait and its looking great. The client choose between Frame number 1, 2 and 4b. Me and the Framer chose number 1 because the Frame made the painting look more beautiful and it suited perfectly. I photographed the framed painting and I’m posting it for the client to see before I ship it.

Completed Family portrait of dog and Boy

Friday, January 15th, 2010

I have finally finished the portrait of Robin and Tuffe. To paint Robin was a bigger challenge then i thought from the beginning, but I finally got it right I hope. It took me much longer to complete the painting the predicted, but that’s all right because you never know how long time it will take to create a painting and some paintings takes longer then others. Tuffe is a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, and has a very interesting look in his eyes. His coat is very soft and beautiful. Robin is a beautiful boy, he loves and plays soccer (like my son do).

Framed Pet Portraits

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Some days ago I got en email from a client who just got the framed watercolor portrait of Dodger back from the framer. She also sent me a photo of Lilo framed, which she commissioned a while back. She used the same frame for both of them since they both hang next to ethoder. I´m very happy I got the photos, thank you! So here are the two dogs, Lilo and Dodger:

Framed portraits in Oils on linen canvas

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

The client was thrilled with the painting and she described the painting better then I ever could in her testimonial. I`m not that good at those things, especially not in english.  :) She wrote what she loves about the painting in Swedish, so I have to translate it best way possible when I find the time. :)

Today I had allot of work with creating new labels and templates to print out addresses. Fist I went to my local framer to collect the framed painting of Agnes and Spice boy which was completed two days ago. Me and the framer chose the frame together in we were pretty unanimous about which frame suited this painting best. I spent the rest of the day packing the framed painting and went to post it before.

I was fun to get the painting framed! Anyways, here are some photos I took of the painting just before I packed it.

Horse portraits in oils - Painting of Girl and Horse

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

I finally completed the painting of Agnes and Spice Boy yesterday. Now it hangs in my living room and drying. In monday I will take the painting to my local framer before I send it as soon its dry enough. The panting is actually very small, the girls face in only 2 cm big (small :) ) so it was a challenge to paint her and I had to buy the smallest brush I could find for the small details. I hope it looks like Agnes, anyway I will find out soon enough :).

The background is simplified and created in warmer colors then the actual reference photograph to make the girl and horse stand out. I didn’t want to create even simpler backgrounds for this panting, it looks natural for me this way.

Depth and light is the most important factor in my pantings and I believe this painting shows what its all about.
