Frist Two Stages of Darla in Oil

Sunday, December 29th, 2013

I wanted to try and complete this portrait for Christmas, but didn’t make it by far. Unfortunately I had way to much work this year and I only managed to complete two stages. This will be a very small, but cute oil painting of Darla, the size is only 25 x 25 cm. Right now I’m updating my website, but I will start to paint again very soon. I had to take some time off the easel in order to reload y batteries. I have decided to create a soft and simple background for Darla.

Two Portraits of English Bulldog Leia

Sunday, December 29th, 2013

Here are two portraits of English Bulldog Leia, which I created for a local client. I couldn’t show until now since they were Christmas presents and she didn’t want to ruin the surprise. Both portraits are created in same size 25 x 25 cm and of the same dog. One is a conte crayon portrait and the other one is a pencil drawing.

I have already added the pencil portrait to my gallery, still working on updating the conte and oil gallery though.

Oil Painting of Dog Buster

Friday, December 20th, 2013

This is the final scan, oil painting of dog Buster. The painting is dry and if the client will approve it, it’s now ready to send with FedEx Express (my saviors). I premixed the colors with these tube colors: Titanium White, Lamp Black, Ivory Black, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Indigo and Winsor Green. The size is 50 x 40 cm and I used a Italian linen canvas which I had to stretch myself because we didn’t have enough time in order to wait for a professionally stretched one. Well, to have a painting done and stretched by the artist can be rather charming too. I hope you like it.
