Stage Six of Horses In Oil

So many hours of work has gone into this piece and finally I have come to the stage where I can start with details on the horses and final work on the camera man. I thought it would be best to post at least a close-up of this painting for the time being…

Next time you see this painting will be when its completed and scanned. It will probably need many puzzle pieces on this one.

First Stage of The King in Oil

So yesterday I started to paint the portrait of the King and this is how far I got. Its only a sketch and some background tones at this stage. Somehow I love to use Burnt Sienna for sketching lately, probably because its easier to cover with thicker paint on those brush stokes later on.

So today I scanned and edited the picture to make it look as close to the original pencil drawing as possible. Still the original is better than the can, but I’m very happy with the result. Hope you like it!
