Cat portrait of Sam – final scan
This is the final scan of Sam. The portrait is relatively small and I have been working from the reference photo you see below. The photo was taken by a Iphone so the photo is also very small. Of course when you come up with something, at the end it looks more like an illustration of that particular cat. Anyway, the client couldn’t provide better photos and Sam is veeery hard to photograph. I’m sure she will be delighted with the final painting anyway, but it’s the last time I paint this way.

Oh that was a hard photo indeed to work from :/ But it looks very nice, so I’m sure the customer will be happy! You did your best and that’s all that matters

you weren’t kidding, my photos were not real clear but as you can see, she added a tail and lifted her head. I am VERY happy with the outcome…katja is truly one of the best

Latest update on Sam..
The only thing I had to change was; lighten up her eyes, so I replaced the old scan with the new one. Anyways.. the portrait is on the way as I sent it yesterday.

i took sam in for her annual wellness check and you will be vey happy to know that the veternarian saw the picture on your web site and said “wow she really NAILED THE EYES>>they are right on. thank you so much for getting it right from the right with the terrible pics i sent to you…wow, what talent!
