Completed Family portrait of dog and Boy

I have finally finished the portrait of Robin and Tuffe. To paint Robin was a bigger challenge then i thought from the beginning, but I finally got it right I hope. It took me much longer to complete the painting the predicted, but that’s all right because you never know how long time it will take to create a painting and some paintings takes longer then others. Tuffe is a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, and has a very interesting look in his eyes. His coat is very soft and beautiful. Robin is a beautiful boy, he loves and plays soccer (like my son do).

Wow. I’m an artist, but haven’t painted in oils for almost 20 years. I had no idea what to get my mother-in-law so I decided to paint her a portrait of her beloved cat…all well and good…it actually came out looking better that 80% of the cat portraits I googled. Then I found your gallery and I was completely blown away. You are an absolutely amazing artist! When I look at my cat portrait next to your work it looks about as full of vitality as a lead balloon. Stunning!
