This is a new vector based logo I have created for kennel Livani in Germany (if they will get that name). Kalle searched for somebody who have drawn and painted many Tervuerens and finding me who also creates professional vector based logotypes is a big bonus of course

Kalle had a very complex idea about what would be included to the logo, but by leaving out some objects and changing some ideas made the logo look very easy to remember. Here it is:

My latest dog portrait in Oils is precious Doberman Marlo. This painting was created from a blurry photograph as a reference, but I was lucky to get more photographs from the owner with more details. Details are nice to add to an oil painting, but it’s not the most important thing to do. It’s allot more important to find right shadows and light areas, finding right hues of coloring and the soul in the eyes.

Marlo has such unique appearance with the tipping ears to the side and interesting expression in the eyes. I let my self to be little more playful with the background and added colors from the collar she has, because the collar is a big part of her and it also made Marlo stand out more from the background. It was nice to paint her indeed. So here she is:
