Damjan`s Diamond website finally online

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Some time ago I created a vector based logotype for this kennel and now I finally uploaded their brand new website. Damjan is a breeder of long and short-haired Chihuahuas and his life truly is all about this wonderful little dogs. The kennel is located in my motherland Slovenia. He knew exactly what kind of design he wanted for his new website, but still gave me room for my own creativity. At a later stage he will also include the web site in English.

Dog portraits in pencils of Groenendael Greco

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

This is my latest dog portrait in graphite pencils. The portrait is made in size A4 of a Belgian Groenendael, named Greco. This dog is really beautiful (I know the breed) and I was delighted to create this drawing. The happy recipient is Emilia from Finland, who graduated from School and her friends collected together the money for this special gift. The portrait will be sent tomorrow, so I’m sure she will get the portrait this week since Finland isn’t that far away from where I’m based. Enjoy…

White Poodle Watercolour Pet Portraits

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Here comes the last dog portrait that was finished on my Work In Progress pages, a watercolor portrait of white Poodle Austin with his red hat and scarf. I had to complete this portrait pretty fast because it will be a gift for father’s day and the person who commissioned me is located in Texas. Just the other day I heard while listening to the radio how men here in Sweden were complaining about that they never get anything better for father’s day then a tie. Well this man will get a REALLY NICE GIFT! This is something to think about, right?

Papillion Pet portraits of Buster

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Finally I’m posting the new oil portrait of Papillion Buster I my blog. The painting was completed some time ago, but I just didn’t have time to post it here. This portrait was the fist place winner of the Photo Contest I held in 2007. Many photos were entered, but only one can win THE PRICE and that was Ylva Malm from Sweden. She said that this price was the best thing she had ever won! The photo was absolutely awesome and of course the painting also turned out nicely. The painting is already posted to Ylva and she photographed the it, along with the dog and posted it in her own blog. She gave me permission to use the photo also on my web site.

New banner for link exchange

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Well, yesterday I worked with new banners for my link exchange program. They are made with both texts and images. It took a while to figure out how to create the banners exactly like I wanted them, but it finally worked out. You can see them here (and please let me know if you would like to exchange links): http://www.pet-art.net/links_addurl.htm
