Pet Portrait of Tervueren in Coloured Pencils
I created a new dog portrait of Duc in Coloured Pencils. Duc is a well known Tervueren, very beautiful and winning in shows all over Europe. This portrait is in size A4 (pretty small) and I still managed to add some detail. For show people it’s very important the dog looks exactly like he does in real life and I managed to capture him to 100%.
I bought a new palette of 120 Coloured Pencils, Derwents and it made it much easier to draw in layers with the right colours. Before that I drew with a palette of 36 and that wasn’t enough. Beside the pet portraits I will now illustrate a book for children, which will take a lot of time and effort. The book is about pets so it suits me perfectly.
