Framing Paper
The paper surface must be kept away from the glass at all times. The Artwork must therefor first be mounted / matted before framed. You can choose a simple or double matt in order to match the portrait and the moulding you've chosen. You also have two different choices of glass for your framing.
Framing Canvas
The canvas based portraits aren't usually framed under glass. Even so, if you would like to frame your oil painting like we usually frame paper-based artworks, just let me know.
Additional Choices
Backside Stands
This option is available on the smaller sized portraits and it's the perfect choice if you can't make up your mind about where to place your artwork. You will have an option of hanging the artwork in the wall or have it standing on a desk.
Engraved Plaques
For an additional charge I can arrange silver, gold or bronze engraved plaques for your framing. In order to use the plaques you need to choose a moulding which has a flat area where the plaque can be placed.
About Glass
There are two types of glass to choose from when framing your paper-based portraits. You have a choice between Normal glass and ClearColour glass by Nielsen Bainbridge. There is a big difference between the two, both in qaulity and price.
Normal Glass
This type of glass is affordable but reflects the environment. If your portrait will be hanging in a room near a window, the glass will shine and the portrait or parts of the portrait won't be visible many times during the day.
ClearColour Glass
This is an expencive type of glass, produced to show the real picture behind the glass. It is created by Nielsen Bainbridge and it's called ClearColour Plus. ClearColour is an anti-reflex glass with UV-protection.
It is specially made by way that it's dipped in several chemical substances och the result is a anti-reflex without grain or blur.
