Pet Portrait Information

Grynna is an 11 year old Border Terrier which I painted in year 2006 in oils on stretched cotton canvas. This was one of my first ever commissions as a professional pet portrait artist. I think this portrait was in size 38 x 46 cm, but I'm not completely sure about it. It was a commission by Johanna as a gift to her parents with Grynna standing at the Swedish coast. The fact that her name is Grynna it's quite a funny story; her sister was born on the sea and along with that all the puppies got their names associated with the sea: Gira (swing with the boat), Gasten (seaman) and Grynna ( mobile heighten of seabed).
