Yet another drawing for Mark Plunske, K9 Police Consultants. The first drawing was created for the logotype, but was deleted from my gallery because of new drawings I wanted to add.
This is a highly detailed montage portrait drawing in graphite pencil with several different dogs, the theme for this drawing is bitework like Police dogs work.

The Reference Photograph
I created this montage drawing from four different photos. Before I started, I created a photo mock-up which was changed several times before Marc was satisfied with the placement and composition of all pictures. To the right you can see one of the reference photos used.
You have done another fine job. The impact of the center image really makes the drawing for me. You captured the detail in the musculature of the leaping dog, which is one of my favorite photos. It makes me a little sad looking at the drawing. The center dog is my second, Rex II. He has been retired for a couple of years now, he's 16 yoa, and is now a shadow of his former self. Thank you for capturing the image of him in his prime.
