Pet Portrait Information

This oil portrait was commissioned by Robert as a gift to his wife for Christmas. The dog is a beautiful Doberman and his name was Hunter. He sadly passed away when he was only two years old and have been missed ever since, there is s a very sad story behind this dog. As you can see the reference photo didn't have the background I painted, so I came up with a beautiful meadow and blurry trees in the background. The pet portrait is in size 38 x 47 cm and was painted in year 2009. Robert also decided to have this Doberman portrait framed by my local framer, see the photos below.
