This pastel portrait is small for a full-body and it was quite a challenge for me to create this painting. It's in size 30 x 25 cm and was commissioned as a gift for Christmas 2011. The dog portrayed is a Chih tzu and her name is Penny. She is going very well on shows and is a Champion. The reference photos had too cold colors in the background, so I decided to use a lighter and warmer color for the portrait. I also wanted to show more of her beautiful eyes on the painting.
