Pet Portrait Information

The two beautiful Borzois are Multi Champions Tara and Harry from a Kennel in Slovenia. Andreja who I have known for many years now, was actually one of my first clients when I lived in Slovenia. I didn't work full-time as a pet portrait artist, just wanted to save money to buy a dog. After that, she has ordered websites, logotypes and other things over the years. But she always wanted an oil painting created by me and after many years of saving, she commissioned me to create this painting.

This is a huge painting and it was painted year 2011. I also wanted to do something extra with it and didn't want to just copy a photo. I exaggerated all colors and created a different light than the reference photo had. I also made the mountains more visible in the background. It has a romantic entirety and I love this painting!
