Illustrations for books

I have started to create book illustrations for children. I have completed illustrating a book for children about a rabbit and a cat, named Merlin and Ping pong for Agi Kiss. The illustrations were created digitally with help of a drawing board, based on my own sketches by hand. Agi Kiss pictured the personalities and style of the two characters she had written about and contacted me if I wanted to illustrate her book.

When creating illustrations I’m able to live my self to your wishes and style, what ever you can think of. There is no end to my creativity, ideas and skills. My illustrations have soul and true character and I’m very consistent when drawing different characters through the whole project. When creating pictures for children, it is very important to keep the environment and backgrounds simpler to make it easier for children to understand the story. On the other hand it’s very important to create characters that are soulful with expressions so it’s easy for a child to understand the feelings pointed out to them. How to create illustrations also depends on what age the children are to be, reading the particular book.
