About glass types you can shoose from
There are three types of Glass to choose from when Framing your Drawing or Watercolor by my Framer. You have a choice between Normal glass, Etched glass and ClearColour glass by Nielsen Bainbridge. The differences between the three choices are big and it comes down to budget and taste. Read about the differences below:
Normal glass
This type of glass is affordable but very shiny. It depends where the portrait will be located in your home when it comes down to choose the normal glass type. If your portrait will be hanging in a room near a window, the glass will shine and the portrait or big parts of the portrait won't be visible many times a day. The Normal glass always reflects the environment.
Price example for Normal glass in size 24 x 19 cm ( 9.4" x 7,5" ) is approximately 3.5€
Etched glass
This type of glass is affordable but very Matt / Etched. The portrait will be visible at all times but the true colors will blanch a bit. This is however in my taste a better choice then the normal glass. The Etched glass my framer use is in better quality then the traditional Etched glass. This glass is more fine-grainded in the surface treatment, consequently doesn't "take away" quite as much from the painting or drawing.

ClearColour glass (C.C-glass)
This is an expencive type of glass choice, produced to show the real picture behind the glass. It is created by Nielsen Bainbridge and it's called ClearColour Plus. ClearColour glass (C.C-glas) is an anti-reflex glass with UV-protection. It is specially made by way that its dipped in several chemical substances och the result is a anti-reflex without grain or blur. There are two types of C.C-glas, UV 60 and UV 90. The numbers stand for percental UV-protection.
